Bussiness News - Toyota, Best Trademark in The World



Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW managed to retain its position in the list of 15 world's best trademark according to Interbrand Best Global Brands Report 2011.

Reported by Autonews, Tuesday, January 17, 2012, Toyota was in 11th position with a brand value of 27.8 billion U.S. dollars, up 6 percent from 2010.

While Mercedes-Benz had to settle for being one level below the Toyota, with a value of 27.4 billion U.S. dollars, up 9 percent from a year ago. As for the other German manufacturers, BMW, is ranked 15th, worth 24.5 billion U.S. dollars, up 10 percent. Ranked Mercedes-Benz and BMW are the same as last year.

Honda, Volkswagen, Audi, Hyundai, Ford, Porsche, Nissan, and Ferrari, have to bounce from 15 list. Honda is only able to be in a position to-19, which stood at 19.4 billion U.S. dollars, up 5 percent.

Volkswagen's ranking in terms of 6 levels increased from last year, becoming the 47th position. Then followed by Audi (59), Hyundai (61), Ford (50), Porsche (72), Nissan (90), and Ferrari (99).

According to Interbrand, the value of each brand was calculated based on the financial performance of each company, the role and power of brands in the community.

"Toyota has been the focus to reform by improving the quality and safety. They also changed the leadership structure and creates new reporting techniques which are two factors that could restore the reputation of a brand of quality," the report Interbrand.

Interbrand also highlight Nissan's football exploits are able to outperform a Ferrari. "Nissan continues to move forward with a visionary strategy and discipline."

Coca-Cola is still the best brand in 2011. IBM occupied the second position, followed by Microsoft, Google, GE, and McDonalds. viva
